Dr Craig Costello
Dr Craig Costello MBBS, FRACP, B.Ap.Sc is a Neurologist with a busy clinical practice in Townsville. After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2003, Dr Costello completed his physician exams at the Townsville Hospital in 2008 and subsequently became their first Chief Medical Registrar. In 2009 Dr Costello commenced subspecialty Neurology training including neurophysiology fellowship at the Royal Melbourne and Austin Hospitals, acquiring comprehensive training in neurological assessments including exposure to strokes, epilepsy and other neurological conditions. During this time he acquired additional specialist skills in EEG; nerve conduction studies; electromyography and injectable therapy for neurological disorders.
In 2012 Dr Costello returned to Townsville, commencing his own clinical practice. He has previously been the Chair of the Regional Neurology Committee and Workforce committee of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists.
In addition to his busy clinical practice, Dr Costello participates in the Townsville to Cairns Bike Ride each year, raising much needed funds for childhood cancer research.
