Dr Neeraj Gill  MBBS MD FRANZCP DrPH is a Professor of Psychiatry at Griffith University, Gold Coast and a psychiatrist at Gold Coast Health. He is the Secretary of the World Psychiatric Association Section on Psychiatry, Law and Ethics. He served as an elected Director on the Board of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) from 2020-2023 and the Regional Vice-President, Oceania, World Federation for Mental Health from 2023-2025.

His previous appointments include Clinical/Medical Director of mental health services in Toowoomba and Gold Coast (2010-2017), Acting Chief Psychiatrist of Queensland (in 2017 and 2018) and member, Mental Health Review Tribunal Qld (2018-2023).  Dr Neeraj Gill has over 25 years of experience as a psychiatrist.

Dr Neeraj Gill completed his FRANZCP in 2006 and was awarded Doctor of Public Health degree from the UNSW Sydney based on his doctoral thesis on ‘human rights of people with mental disabilities’. He has published numerous papers and a book on mental health law and human rights.

Dr Neeraj Gill consults via video link and is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu. Dr Neeraj Gill is empathetic and is able to provide complex independent medico-legal reports for Queensland motor vehicle claims, public liability matters including workers compensation matters, superannuation claims and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) reports.
